Would it be possible to add an optional time limit setting that automatically marks a card as incorrect if the timer runs out?
I thought this feature already existed but couldn't find it 😅
No, it doesn’t exist.
It was requested in another thread recently, and Michael said it wasn’t a planned feature. I can’t find that discussion for some reason, but I did find topics/5378/Quiz_Timer_discussion
I wrote a script that does this a while back. It just skips ("I don't know") the card when the time runs out, which I believe is practically the same thing.

If/when Michael implements community mods, I might redo it as a proper mod. Assuming he doesn't officially add it, of course.
Thank you all for the replies.
ギョルギ九十三 , That's a good idea. I suppose for Android, the Hermit app can be used to write a custom script like that, though a little inconvenient 🫠
マイコー , Maybe I am a bit out of the loop, could someone please tell me what the "mod system" is about?
How this will be integrated into the future
JS mods were requested, and I saw a strong emphasis on color changes. renshuu used to have color settings, so I'd like to revive that.
My hope is for late winter/early spring of 2026 to be a starting point for a "renshuu mods" section of the page where users can post these, get ratings/feedback/etc. Anything that has the potential to extract user data (like JS) will be vetted before any other user can download it to prevent any of that from happening.
I have a LOT to think about with regards to this, and so I'll post again (probably January/February) when I begin the discussion on how to create this feature!
This ↑ is a quote from the CSS contest thread. You can find it here: renshuu.org/forums/topics/15099/1st_annual_renshuu_style_%28CSS%29_contest%21/platest#latest
This being officially supported, I hopefully won't have to deal with mobile integration :D
Right now it's just a JS script I'm injecting using Tampermonkey. It works fine, but at the end of the day it's just a "for fun" prototype (it got requested by someone).
Oh, nice! Good stuff you have there.
Seems the JS modding feature will offer ample opportunities for me to procrastinate on my flashcards 🙊
