状況がAであっても、想像と違ってBだ
Aは同じ言葉を繰り返して使う。
BにはAという状況で起こり得るだろうと想像していたことと違うことを表す内容が来る。
Bの内容は、「いいこと」「悪いこと」の両方をとることができる。

this pattern doesn't need to be a positive statement followed by a negative - for example; 便せんがなかったらないで、コピー用紙でも構いません。 If there's no letter-writing paper available, photocopy paper will do.

The third example under the construction section has a typo. 安かったり安いで (being cheap is good, but...) should be 安かったら安いで (being cheap is good, but...)

I don't know if this is the right place for this grammar construct, but 新完全マスター文法 N1 groups ば～で with these patterns. As in:

家は広い方がいいが、広ければ広いで、掃除が大変だろう。

The bigger the house, the better, but the bigger the house, the harder it is to clean.

That might need to come under a separate grammar entry - I am actually about to start on quiz generation for a huge chunk of N1 expressions, so I'd like to hold off on additional entries until that gets finished :)
