Construction
(Elements in parentheses are optional.)
Basic Examples:
見るといいなあ (it'd be nice to see)

夏ならばいい (it would be nice if it were summer)

While the wishing/hoping is always done by the speaker, the construction differs if it is a wish/hope for the speaker themselves or for another person/a group that does or does not include the speaker.
