Hi,
1) User's sentences often miss "の". Is there a specific reason ?
2) By the way, this structure seams to be used only to express speaker's thoughts. "I would / I rather"...
Can we use the same construction to express another person's thoughts ?
Something like :
3rd person + は + A action + くらい/ぐらい + なら + B alternative + のほうがまし + something expression other thoughts でしょう / という / そう
しずかさんはあんな男と結婚するくらいなら死んだほうがましでしょう。
3) I found sentences on the net with the structure : A action + くらい/ぐらい + なら + B alternative + ほうがいい。
It seems to have the same meaning.
このお金を彼に上げるくらいなら、捨てたほうがいい。I may as well throw the money away as give it to him.
What is the difference ? Are they interchangeable ?
For your 3rd question, they are the same and can be used interchangeably.
