Grammar usage notes

する nouns (such as 勉強する or 発表する) are often abbreviated in everyday speech by dropping the する in this format, leaving the noun(the part that comes before する) + に帰る.
Ex: 家へ勉強に帰る. (I'm going back home to study)

I also have a question about this grammer point-

(Noun)+に帰る... is this how you say 'return to a (noun)'?

e.g.　学校に帰る- return to school?

I would have thought so but the 'meaning' entry says otherwise :-S

There are two forms of the N に 帰る. When it's a place, it works as you have noted. I'll add that in. Thanks!
