I'm making this topic for people who have ideas for the app that they think could benefit themselves and other learners. Drop 'em here!
(。^ ω ^。)
I have a few.
1. I think that some English equivalents to the particles, like わ is basically "am/is" and so on.
2. Mnemonics for the particles too.
3. Since some people can't print out the kanji sheets, maybe some for the app to practice digitally.
That's all I have for now.
You can just make separate topics for each request in the future - that's what the forum is for :). Putting them all into one will make it more difficult to separate out conversations and remove topics if they've been accepted.
1. The particles that have pretty close equivalents to the English are noted in the grammar dictionary/library, which has all of the particles in there :)
2. We are working on a mnemonics system for words, but with the exception of a couple of the sentence-ending particles, most Japanese particles have a large number of meanings and usages, so single mnemonics would probably be tricky. If you have any suggestions for ones, though, I'd love to hear them!
3. There is fully-fledged writing practice for schedules and lessons, but it is part of renshuu pro. I wish I could offer everything for free, but renshuu directly supports my family, so I have to make some things paid otherwise I would not be able to offer any of it.
I’d like to request the ability to start quizzes from the dashboard from schedules that aren’t on the dashboard.
For example, I can click into Resources > Grammar Library and then choose the lesson I’d like to study. However, from a UX perspective that’s too many clicks.
To reduce the number of clicks, could there be a “Start a New Quiz” button on the dashboard and a drop down that allows you to select a lesson from the library? There could even be a setting to limit to lessons you’ve already studied.
This way I can go over lessons I’ve studied in an easier fashion than having the related questions mixed in with other lessons while doing a schedule quiz.
I’ve attached what’s currently available.

This is definitely something that has been on the docket for awhile, but I have not yet figured out how I want to do it. It's also tied in somewhat with a few special sets of grammar lessons in the Lesson Center that cannot yet be added to schedules (as they are not technically words, grammar, kanji, or sentences).
This is something that *will* get accomplished, it's just a matter of when.
Hi, is it possible for there to be a feature to streamline the addition of words/kanji/grammar from text analyser into a schedule or list?
I'm thinking of a button "select multiple" at the top of the page, then checkboxes will appear next to the left of the analysed texts and their respective groups, where you can check the group name's checkbox to select all the texts under the group or individual texts.
Then you will be able to click "select" at the bottom of the page, resulting in a pop-up with two drop-down menus to choose words/kanji/grammar and function i.e. "add too new list"; "add to new schedule"; "add to an existing list" etc. (Hopefully one to remove the selected texts too, its painful having to manually do it for all the texts).
A second feature that'd be nice is which you are able to select what you would like to study specifically in a schedule(nouns;verbs;advers;grammar etc.)
Cheers
This is available as part of renshuu pro - you get a lot more tools inside of the analyzer for working with what you've found. It doesn't provide checkboxes, but it does let you take the list as a whole, apply various filters if need be, and then send them elsewhere.
It also makes the same lists available inside of the Advanced Search tool, which gives you even more control.
could there in the future be a way to sort the dictionary by word class?
it'd be so useful to search for all interjections, or colloquialisms at once :3
would anyone else benefit from this?
Sort the dictionary? That seems a little extreme. You can filter a dictionary search by part of speech. Just open the filter panel by tapping the funnel icon.
