This can also have the verb in ーて form in front of はいけない/はけません can't it?

Is this grammar used as a more general statement or what is the difference to 'ーないでください'?
Is this grammar used as a more general statement or what is the difference to 'ーないでください'?
ないでください is more of a request to not do something. For example 食 べないでください would be a request not to eat, "please don't eat". はいけない/はいけません is more of a "must not do".
