When I get added 10-20+ words, it can get pretty overwhelming to be quized on them nearly all at once. What's been working better (very) recently for me has been adopting the 5-7 given in 1 quiz, and then repeatedly quizing myself on them through 'Focused Review".
Would appreciate if there was a smoother way to do so, for being quizzed on words learned so-far in a segment. Having words already learned included in quizzes where they don't need to be (I think), and having to do "Last 7 days" due the time period options has been somewhat awkward.
My suggestion for the focused review feature: it would be great to be able to choose several units at once (e.g. when studying vocabulary according to Genki, being able to practise two or more chapters at the same time...)
A focused review that takes it's questions from the overall pool of words/kanji/grammar that I know instead of from a schedule or lesson (I'm not very clear on the terminologies used in this app)
I would love the option to focus review certain lists in a custom-made schedule. Right now, it`s only possible for me to do focused review for certain textbook chapters and selfmade lists when I add them to a pre-made schedule. So I can repeat for example Chapter 1 of the pre-made Genki 1 Textbook schedule seperately, as well as any personal lists I added to that schedule. If I have my own costume made schedule with the exact same personal lists though, there is no option to review them seperately. Of course I could just learn the entire list, but this would mean not being able to alter the quiz size and having to do the entire chapter, compared to, let´s say, just 20 repetitions.
I agree with ギョルギさん; Having an option to review most missed terms would be a game changer for me. The "missed recently" option only seems to limit to certain days and there's no option for selecting a range of terms if not everything within one review if you're into that kind of gauntlet (which I've done for hiragana and katakana, merged even).
heck, even having added info on which terms you've missed the most when looking thru your lessons, somewhere near the mastery level info, would be nice to know. You could even have an option to turn that off if it's too much pressure, but I came across some recent studies from a science article my mom usually reads that essentially sums up an effective way to learn: "you learn best when you have room to make mistakes and learn from them."
I'm sure anyone who's ever watched oldskool KOBS's Magic School Bus can remember what Ms. Frizz always say: "make experiments, make mistakes, get messy."
I would personally love more interactive games that work with my study list, but above all I wish that I had the option to pick either learn new terms, or do a focused review or quiz without having to complete a section e.g. N5 or N4. I want to study my words on the go even if I haven’t completed the section yet. Maybe theres an easier way to do this because I am not very tech literate but I would like it on my dashboard to just review all the terms I already studied whenever I want to.

I would like to be able to use the focused review with the same set of words the regular review uses. The focused review lets me choose specific vectors to hit for that review, which is helpful for practicing on a schedule I have listening vectors enabled on when Im in a situation where playing audio over my phone isnt ideal
There are days I just want to review and not include new words, but there is no option to review the set of words due today without fist studying the new words (or changing lesson config to set new words per day to 0 temporarily). Would be nice to have as a focus review option
It exists. Tap on the three dots for a schedule, tap on settings, tap more settings and check the box that says „Don‘t learn new terns until daily review is finished“.
this requires reconfiguring the schedule, then reconfiguring again when wanting to return to new words. it would be nice to just have a once off option in the focused review section to just study the words suggested to review for the day
Options I would find very useful for Focused Reviews, if it's possible to add them:
1. Toggle/setting to do Focused Reviews that do not alter Mastery Levels.
2. Toggle/setting to do Focused Reviews that allows us to choose Most Missed entries—as others have said and even if it affects review dates.
3. Ability to choose a Focused Review of all current Mastery Schedules of the same type: Vocabulary, Kanji Sentences, Grammar.
I normally study throughout the day, on the commute, breaks, after work... basically, whenever I can find the time. These options would be very helpful to facilitate learning that can adapt to different schedules, environments, and personal needs.
For example, I need a lot of repetition with vocabulary, but not so much with grammar, so I'd like to be able to keep practicing vocabulary without maxing out on Mastery Level. Likewise, I can't concentrate on practicing Grammar or Sentence schedules on the commute because of the distractions, so I'd love to be able to select all schedules of a specific type on my work lunch break instead of having to go through all of them one by one so I can have enough time to complete them.
