(Hey all, posting something to get some more of those sweet sweet kao coins for my garden.)

Any watch enthusiasts in the community here? Would love if you share pics, any watch is welcome, discuss dream watches (grail), discuss favorite brands and heritage, or ask questions regarding watches.

Any cool Japenese words/vocab words related to watches are also welcome! Or Japenese watch shops, I hear Ginza is the watch mecca of Japan.

My watch collecting journey started when my parents got me a Seiko for my 18th birthday. I thought it was so cool to have such a pretty accessory that wasn't totally useless and served a purpose, telling me the time! One watch soon became 3 and I started collecting. I had a beautiful Seiko for each occasion: dress, casual, and outdoor. In the 12 years since I've acquired and let go of a fair number and try to keep the collection around 7-8.

Currently my 3 favorites of my collection are:

- Casio DW5600e - THE OG G-Shock. First came out in 1981. A reliable digital watch that's all business and no fluff. My workout watch.

- 1975 Omega Geneve - My father's watch when he was a college student, it cost about $250 dollars then! It was beat to heck, cracked crystal, broken crown, scuffed up. Ended up getting it restored and now it's a snazzy silver dialed office piece.

- Seiko Kinetic - The watch that got me started. A 42mm case, blue dial, on a stainless bracelet, nearly 13 years old and still kicking. Wear it almost weekly still, dressed up or down.

My attainable grail is a Vacheron Constantin Overseas.
