For many of my schedules, the "mastery stars over time" graph has been weird since the most recent week's update (adding week of Jul 20, according to the weekly chart's x axis tick labels): it shows dramatic decreases or increases in number of terms and mastery stars that don't seem connected to reality. One example of this, cropped a bit:

I do not actually have over three million mastery stars, nor have I halved the number of known terms in that schedule.
Hello, I have the same issue!
Stats for many of my schedules have dropped for the past two weeks, even though I keep reviewing them and I am learning new items every day.
Sorry, catching up with issues after a family trip.
I would need to know specific schedule names to be able to continue to look into it.
Pretty much across the board for me:
For Grammar and Sentences schedules, the recent "# terms" bars seem to reflect the total number of terms in the schedule; prior to Jul 13, I think they reflected studied terms (which makes more sense, and is still what the words schedules do when unaffected by whatever else is going on here).
Just letting you know I am looking into it. Very weird stuff. Haven't touched this code in *ages*, and when I run it manually (for the current week on just one of your schedules, the first one), the data comes out correctly.
This week is busy, but I'll let you know when I have more info. Unfortunately, rebuilding previous weeks will not be possible, as I do not (I think) hold onto the raw data it uses to hold check mastery levels across time - it summarizes it, then dumps the raw data (as it is pretty bulky.)
Hello,
Sorry for the delay, as I was on vacation. Here are some additional information about my schedules, if they can help you pinpoint the issue.
Many of my affected schedules are schedules that have been merged:
- Vocabulary schedule "かな" , merged a long time ago from the Renshuu Hiragana and Katakana schedules.
- Vocabulary schedules "Vocabulaire Kanji to Kana (1-200)", "Words for Beginner Japanese (N5)", merged recently (I would say on the middle of July, but I don't remember the exact date)
- Kanji schedule "Kanji to Kana 1-200", also merged recently in July
But I also have unmerged schedules with this issue:
- Vocabulary schedule "みんなの日本語", which is the lesson-based schedule from Renshuu
- Vocabulary schedule "みんなの日本語 - Voc. de référence"
- Vocabulary schedule "NHK World - やさしい日本語"
- Sentence schedule "Beginner Sentences (N5)"
- Grammar schedule "Verb Conjugations", in which only the "Base ->Conjugated" vector seems to show the issue.
- Vocabulary schedule "Vocabulaire Kanji to Kana (201-300)" has the Meaning->Kana vector going off the charts with very high values, even though it contains only 75 words studied mainly with Kanji vectors.
All affected schedules have strange graphs after July 13th, just like ハルヒロ's graphs.
I think I finally found the issue. While I cannot yet make any comments on rebuilding previous weeks, can you look at the current week and see how it looks for all of you?
Hello, thank you for looking into this issue!
Data for the latest week in weekly graphs looks seems all right to me:
- The number of terms in the graph matchs the number of studied words in the Overview tab (or is close to it, for schedules I'm currently learning).
- Mastery values for individual vectors resumed following the trend they had before the July 20th drop/strange values.
Weekly charts were updated mid-week and show seemingly reasonable values (both then and today); monthly charts still have some weird data points like the 3+ million mastery stars for August (I don't think they were updated yet?).
Thanks for the updates.
I am looking, but it appears that the data that would be required to rebuild the missing weeks is unfortunately not present. This is not due to a bug or anything - it's simply that there is only so much raw data that I can hold onto, and the data for the previous weeks was removed in order to keep the system running smoothly.
