Depends on motivation and what my schedule looks like, as well as the amount of reviews on renshuu, but maybe 5-15 minutes on a normal day and 30+ minutes on a high motivation day.
Usually just 20 minutes of renshuu and just listening to Japanese music / anime if I feel like I can do more I do about 20 minutes of flash cards but no more than that rly
I spend a good 15-20 mins a day studying casually but recently, I have been studying for a JLPT test adding about an extra 10 mins in. If I have nothing to do on a day, I tend to do a bit more. (If listening to Japanese music counts, it is literally 2-3 hours 2 loops of sound tracks and I do not know any English music at this point...)
on a normal day, about 90 minutes of active learning and practice.
that gets moderated by what else i’ve got going on, on very busy days i am sometimes too tired to do any japanese. and it doesn’t include any time i spend reading or consuming other media in japanese. in particular when i’m reading a good manga that can be several hours a day.
For me it varies a lot depending on how motivated I feel. On a great day, it can be two-three hours, if you count watching shows or other media in Japanese. But mostly it’s around 10 to 40 minutes. When I’m super tired, I’ll just review a couple of words, but that’s still better than nothing, especially since I try to avoid burnout.
I think it usually takes me an hour or so to complete all of my Mastery Schedules (I think I usually have 30+ a day). I try to review about 10 or so grammar points and post comments in the Grammar library/write sentences which takes about 30 minutes. This doesn't include listening to the news/TV or reading in Japanese.
I do a lesson in marugoto, then finish reviewing at least 200 terms a day which takes about an hour. Also once a week I do an online course with the university.
granted sometimes I find myself almost sleeping near the end of a review after I go to work and come back to study, but with renshuu the terms to review will gradually decrease as mastery increases creating a natural pace on when to press the next set or grammer lesson button to hit that 200 terms a day goal.
in the end I don't think time matters as long as you don't lie to yourself like I used to and get stuck in a rut studying the same stuff forever. Progress is still progress and learning something new will always feel hard and sometimes like a little too much effort especially after a working day.
it gets easier... You just have to do it everyday that's the hard part. But it does get easier.
When I was studying for JLPT, I usually study for four hours. Now that I’m mainly doing it casually and my target goals have changed, it’s usually an hour or two. Sometimes, thirty minutes if I’m not in the mood. There are days I am motivated enough and I can study for three hours or so.
Working adult here. Slowly working my way through Renshuu's pre-beginner grammar, vocab, and kanji. I spend anywhere from 20-45 minutes per day on renshuu, mostly review and then some days I'll learn new content.
Sometimes I'll read genki 1 to supplement and as of yesterday, went to a little japenese conversation club for 2 hours. Didn't learn much, but it helped to practice speaking and reinforce what little I know.
Well when I started the app (not that long ago) I was very motivated and practiced for an hour or maybe even more!, but I definitely went down in practice time to about 30 minutes

I’ve been doing Duolingo for a while and the Japanese wasn’t the best (for me anyway) and renshuu is definitely helping
