I actually noticed this maybe a week or so ago, but wanted to be sure it wasn't a fluke before reporting it
I usually use the handwriting questions as a part of my Kanji quiz studies, but lately the writing pad is extremely laggy. The first few strokes are fine, but after that they get exponentially laggier, and by the 10th or so stroke, it's really laggy. Some of the strokes take about a full second to process. It's usually completely fine, and I checked the recent bug reports here and was surprised no one else is having this issue, so maybe it's just my phone for some odd reason.
Interestingly enough, the issue is not present in Quick Draw - I can load the sched in that and practice there, so I have that as a workaround for now. I don't have video capture software on my phone but it is exactly as I said above, and can be easily reproduced by a Focused Review on any of my Kanji scheds with writing enabled
Just for clarification, I'm on the Android app (latest ver)

I'm really sorry about the delayed reply - Golden Week knocked a big hole in my schedule.
I do not see it in your post, but have you tried this: long press on the app icon, go to more info, then clear out all storage and cache. Re-login, then try again
