I have a ferret and two pet beds because i thought i would get one for kao too(i now know she wont), so i have two general pet beds and i have never seen the ferret use one, he just sleeps on the ground.
do the pets actually use the pet beds or interact with anything in the garden, like chairs or watering cans, or are they just decoration?
Pets do interact with beds, I have seen my cats, deer and rabbits sleep, but in their special beds. I am not sure that there are beds for ferret, maybe that's why you don't see your ferret sleep.
I don't have any beds my ferret can use so I'm not sure about ferrets, but turtles and deer do use beds. Maybe some pets don't use beds? I'm honestly not sure.
Update: I found a post about foxes saying "but as I recall, the answer is no, the fox is a wild animal and doesn’t use a pet bed", so maybe ferrets are the same. Although pet ferrets are very much a thing.
Yeah, it says they're domesticated, so I guess that theory doesn't really hold water.
From memory, the fox, ferret, bird, snail (and maybe frog *I don't own a toad/ frog) do not sleep in beds and rabbits, deer's and turtles have their own special bed to sleep in. I'm not too sure about the white/ snow rabbit though
