im new and i want to speak Japanese. can someone give me an advice on how to practice my vocabulary? (i just started, and English is not my native language, so i might make some mistakes)
Watch native content so you know how natives say words, like pitch accent and other more nuanced things, and practice shadowing when you feel comfortable. Shadowing is basically saying the words along with the speaker in the video, copying tone and pronunciation as precisely as possible.
There are other resources, such as Discord and VRChat (I think?) that you may want to look into, but I believe those are better for more advanced people.
Apps like Hello Talk can be very useful as well, trying to converse with natives
Do a thing
Watch japanese shows or animes with sub and try to remember what are they saying by seeing the sub
They say to not learn Japanese from anime but personally they helped me a lot.
i try to replace my (in my case, spanish) vocabulary with japanese words. even little things like saying "oishii" to yourself while having breakfast helps internalize the words u learn

VRChat is not really for advanced people =p
I met a lot of beginners there and it works well for them too because there are plenty of japanese advanced english speaker that wish to practice their english. So in general, beginners rely more often on english when they struggle. But they are still able to practice their japanese with natives at the same time.
Bonus, people often don't mind introvert people. Especially japanese. It's common to see a few people not talking at all at the beginning.
Discord, on the other hand, is... up to luck. You can have some great experience if you get along with the people there. But you can also have 1 or 2 advanced learners that kinda ruin the experience and often prevent beginners to speak. Because they are often like "No, you're wrong and I'm right" every 3 s. On VRChat, once you met people that you like, you can just go to another world when there is someone like that.

I recommend Taka Nihongo dojo and Yuu-chan Japanese. Just subscribe to their channel and watch their short on your free time while doing some shadowing. It's mainly about simple vocabulary and expression.
MrFuji from Japan is also a good channel because there are english subtitles. It's more "advanced" in term of listening and shadowing but you can learn a lot things culture wise or language wise (Like why japanese do that or why english speaker struggle with that particular point).
