掲示板 Forums - Furigana still showing even though I've learned the kanji?

Why does お父さん still give me the furigana とう when お母さん doesn't give me かあ?

This is from the N5 sentences. I already have mastery in the kanji 父, but it still shows the furigana.

Additionally: if it still does not work, pop open your menu > settings > vocabulary, and let me know what you have selected for "What kanji should be displayed in vocabulary"

Furigana will stop showing when you learned the kanji after level 3 I guess

Turned it off but I don't see any difference... I also noticed this when checking just now

Three sentences with the word 名前 in them, but on two of them it shows furigana and one one it doesn't. Could it be that the furigana is baked in in some sentences and not in others? Because I've definitely learned those two kanji already.

Try searching for "furigana" in your user settings and making sure these options are both toggled off:
