I really like the writing practice for Kanji. In particular, the one where you only get hints about a character and an otherwise empty canvas. Can I somehow get the same for Kana?

Quick draw isn't the same: It has a time limit and the requirement to get every stroke right before the next. I just want to practice in peace.

The "Practice writing the words" vector in the Kana lessons also isn't the same as it always shows me the strokes which to follow.

You seem to have stretched the available tools to their limits. I think you would be best served by pencil and paper from here. Grid paper can be very helpful. Make sure to practice both vertical and horizontal writing.

If you want to stick with electronics, try using general purpose handwriting recognition to see how you do. For example, you can write kana to look up words in renshuu’s dictionary.

I've been paperless lately. On my mobile device, I have a notes app that I can draw, which makes it perfect to drill on handwriting.

Otherwise, I have a couple ways that I can do that to an extent, and it's more for typing. Kind of good practice to get used to some of the quick strokes, and autocorrect might quickly figure what the writing was for. But it's not really beginner friendly.
