Hi there! I’ve been subscribing to renshuu pro for a few years now, only recently realized with the sale that there is a lifetime subscription! I use the iOS app and went to purchase it there, but it appears to have charged three times instead of once. I’ve since requested a refund for two of the three charges, but I wanted to report here as well in case it was a common issue with the app!
As an additional question, after purchasing the lifetime subscription should iOS users then manually remove monthly renshuu pro from their subscriptions in the App Store? Or does the app itself update this after purchasing the lifetime subscription and stop charging monthly?
Thanks for the message - unless there is a bug with Apple's payment system, that my initial feeling is that the payment modal that appears (it's run by the app store, so it looks the same across all apps) would have appeared multiple times. There is no way for renshuu (or any other app) to take what the App Store is showing you, and then charge you something else (or charge you multiple times).
Do you recall seeing that more than once?
As to the monthly subscription - this must be done manually, and is a limitation of the App Store. After lifetime or a year-long purchase is made, a message is sent to the user's email letting them know about this.
