So I have the standard "Words for Japanese Basics" schedule which includes Kanji->Kana, Japanese->Meaning, and Meaning->Japanese by default. I don't want to change this one.
However, I want to have another schedule that's the same terms as the "Words for Japanese Basics" schedule except the only vector is Listening question and no new terms introduced (as in I want to learn terms via reading/writing, but I want to be able to study listening for terms I've learned via reading/writing).
I tried duplicating the standard "Words for Japanese Basics" schedule, changing the Max new terms to 0, and modifying the vectors to only Listening question. When I did that though, it kept the terms at the time of duplication but doesn't stay synced to any terms learned via the original schedule.
Is there any way to do what I'm trying to do short of rebuilding the listening schedule every time I learn new terms on the original?
Hmm, I'm pretty sure that should work. Do you have this setting turned on? I think you only need it on the duplicate, but I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks, it looks like that works. I duplicated the schedule, learned new words on the original, and afterwards, it has the same number of learned terms for both schedules.
You're welcome! The way I think it works is that because terms are global, when you learn one it becomes available in every schedule that has it. Since learning a term means studying one of its vectors, any schedule without that setting won't let you study any more vectors for that particular term (for the day).
