I posted this "issue" some time ago but didn't get any reply (or I have missed it). Whenever I learn a new kanji, all the words that use it get downgraded to the lowest mastery level. Is there a way around it? This results in quite a large numeber of basic vocab (that I think I already know really well) to start coming up in my reviews. Thanks!

Previously you were studying kana <-> meaning vectors, once you study the kanji those get replaced with kanji <-> meaning vectors, and kanji -> kana gets added. Those new vectors start at 0%.

Thanks - it's all clear now. After thinking about it for a while I've decided it's not really an issue. Leveling up the unlocked kanji vector should be quite useful after all. Even though I can already recognize most of the words written in the unlocked kanji (since I familiarized myself with those kanji some time ago elsewhere), I think it should still make my reading more efficient. Not to mention the kanji I learned on Renshuu first (and only recently), which are not that well engraved in my memory yet.
