Hi everyone!
I've found this question online and I'm a little bit confused about which answer should be the right one:
きょうしつ (__) きれいにしました。
が
を
は
で
🤷🏻 I think it could be を、は、で but I'm absolutely clueless. Thanks in advance!
Cheers!
を would fit best. で could work, but you'd need to change the structure a bit. I guess は could also work. Anyway, if I had to pick one it would be を.
I guess with zero changes, it would be は・を (if on a test, I'd pick を)
Edit: きょうしつはきれいにしました, using は is perfectly fine if you want to set the classroom as the topic and imply you did the cleaning. Source: https://ja.hinative.com/questi...
Look up きれいにしました in the sentence dictionary, and you'll find examples.
きれいにしました
Use を to mark the object being cleaned

Thanks a lot for the great explanation. I guess like in everything else, context is really important.
I choose は without thinking but
"I guess with zero changes, it would be は・を (if on a test, I'd pick を)"
ギョルギ九十三 is probably right here x)
In a textbook, a test or just in a book, it will be probably を. In polite japanese too, where you tend to make more complete sentences. But otherwise, in casual conversation, は is more natural.
Basically, textbook japanese, japanese that you found in test, book or polite japanese tend to make more structured and complete sentences.
On the other hand, japanese tend to be very lazy efficient in casual conversation. So they skip everything that's not necessary if there is a context.

I forgot that feature 😓. Thanks!
