Hello everyone. I've found the following question in some facebook page and I habe doubts:

___てから___きました。

The options are:

1. を、で

2. に、で

I have answered the 2nd, but the right one seems to be the 1st one, but I don't get it, as る is an intransitive verb and they don't use the を particle. What am I missing here? 🤔

Thanks for the responses 🫡

大学を出る is a set expression. It's similar to 卒業する, but I think the former sounds more casual

を can be used to mark point of departure, and the verb doesn't need to be transitive. See sense 5 of and the grammar point . It can be used in abstract sense, for example, る means "to graduate from university".

に marks point of destination, so る would mean get out of a place and end up in .
