I have been trying to learn japanese reading for a while now, but i have a problem where i cannot know what a certain phrase means, not because i dont know the word being used, but when i read it, i seem to misunderstand the meaning.

I dont know what to do in this case so i need help

I’d been struggling with this for some time as well, but one thing that might help you is to look at the whole sentence or situation, not just the phrase by itself. Like many languages, Japanese often relies on context, so sometimes the meaning is hidden in the bigger picture.

Also, checking example sentences online, either in forums or maybe in credible dictionaries, can really help you see how a phrase is actually used.

And most of all, don’t get discouraged! Confusion is just part of the learning process – it means your brain is working hard to connect the dots.
