When should I listen to Japanese conversations and learn Japanese phrases?

( Knowing that I am studying Kana in the present time )

I personally would recommend that after you learn N5 properly like doing grammar, the basic words and verbs only then you should do listening exercises ( but it feels like I am objecting " The early you start, the better." . With that given it's up to you if what I am saying will think is too late for you .
I am too on N5 with 250 level around and going to do speaking practices/ listening before going to N4.

Listening is very important to start recognising tone and words, especially so you know how to read inside your head while studying! So you should try and find videos related to the vocabulary you study.

Sry for my eng, im fr. I recommend to listen japanese jlpt5 conversation asap. Even if you understand 5% of the conversation, your brain will easier makes links between words/kanas you are learning. Dont hesitate to repeat words you hear even if you dont understand the meaning.

You all mean that I should start learning sentences like "what's your name and other sentences" and listen to conversations and other things from now on?? I mean from now on while I learn Kana??

It's up to you, because you are still learning kana and not with grammar or basic words, some of them contains particles too to form basic sentences.
Dont be hasty thats all I am trying to say.

Listening helps get accustomed to the language and how it sounds, so just listening without forcing yourself to learn or understand is good enough!

You can revisit those videos/audios later on, after you have learned more, and start identifying the studied contents.
