if I want to take notes about the things I learn on renshuu, is there a notebook/notepad option, just asking course I think it would help my learning especially for the kanji

Yes! You can add kanji to your kanji studypad simply by selecting it from the dialogue box that opens when you click on the green ➕.

As far as taking notes, just use the mnemonics. You can make them private if you want.
