Your last quiz has timed out. You will need to start a new quiz. However, all questions that you finished have been recorded.
Hmm - I cannot think of anything that I've changed that would do this, and I have not yet received reports from anyone else (except for one that was on the "day" line), but I will definitely be keeping an eye out on this.
Just happened on a kanji quiz. I opened the quiz maybe an hour ago, studied the words, then when pressing study, it timed out. Same as last time.
I am not entirely sure about the best way to try and track this down, but I will be thinking on it, and hopefully a good debugging path will pop up for me. It could be server-side, or it could be something inside of your browser causing the session with the site (even if you are using the app) to restart too quickly.
I just got my kanji quiz timed out while quizzing. I was on question 30 or so. I did not leave the app and was answering questions normally.
I just got my quiz timed out again while pressing study right after learning new terms, before the first question.
If this is still causing issues for you, I would be happy to look into it for you. Let me ask you a few questions in advance:
1. What server for renshuu are you using? If you don't know, then most likely the main one, but you can check in the settings > experimental section.
2. Can you confirm if this is happening on multiple devices or just a single one? What device(s) are they?
Yes, it is still happening. It happened this morning or yesterday.

I only see this on my android phone, using Firefox Mobile. It also only happens on kanji quizzes, which is the first quiz of the day for me. I don't think I've seen it on other types of quizzes. I also use a desktop browser occasionally but I don't think I've seen a timeout there. And I think I only do my kanji quizzes on mobile.
My guess is that, for whatever reason, you're losing your logged in session status, it's auto-logging back in, but the quiz was in the old session. So let's try to work with that hypothesis for now. If it's ok, I'm going to add a bit of debugging text onto your dashboard.
Unfortuantely, we don't have access to the web inspector in firefox mobile without doing a lot of work between your mobile device and a local desktop on the same network.

I'm not doubting that the session is being lost, but one of the data points is this one, where I got timed out during a quiz while I was actively answering questions.

I just got a vocabulary quiz timeout. 9 questions, it didn't let me answer question 8. I was answering questions normally.
You should have a little stripe on your dashboard (below the kaochan box) with the session id. No need to post it here (later, I might ask for it in a DM). Let's see if you notice a change in the value when it "resets".
