In the Android app, I toggled off Faster Assets and then switched to "renshuu server" from Global. I then switched those settings back. This is while I was in Quick Draw, if that's relevant. When I came back to my dashboard I noticed almost all my Kao Garden quests under Today had duplicates. (The ones under This Week and Permanent are normal.) There are 2 or 3 of each quest that got duplicated. There are also 9 different quests rather than 7.
Screenshots are from the desktop browser because that's just easier for me. This hasn't happened for me when toggling those features on desktop, though.
I had this happen again a few days ago and I hadn't touched the Experimental settings. So I think I posted this in the wrong forum. My apologies.
If it's relevant: it still only seems to happen when I use the Android app. This was on the first day of my new weekly quests, and both daily and weekly quests got duplicated this time. My dailies since then have been fine, but the duplicated weekly quests are still there.
Sorry for the delay. Yea, definitely not the server, so that is just coincidence.
I have a suspicion that it *might* be tied to a fix I put in ...roughly a week ago. I'd like to have you wait until the next full week rotation and see if it clears up.
I'm not sure I can trigger it on purpose, because I don't think it happens every time I use the app. I'll try to remember to give it a go next Sunday though. If you have a suspicion what it is, do you have any suggestions for how to trigger it?
Meaning that you removed the quests from my profile? I do see that a number of the duplicated weeklies are gone, but some duplicates are still there. Does that mean you can't see all of my duplicates?
Hmm - either I missed them (possible), or it is dropping them back in again. I just made sure that no duplicates are present, and I also added a bit of logging code on my side to see if they pop back in again.
I got no duplicates today. I opened the app and did a few rounds of Quick Draw and a kanji writing quiz (those are usually the only things I use the app for, so when it happened before, that's probably what I would have been doing). I don't think this has happened every time I use the app, though, so I can't say for sure anything's changed.
Today I got one duplicate daily quest, after opening the app and playing one game of Quick Draw. The key may be to open/use the app first that day, rather than the website. (Yesterday I went to the website first.) I think that when the bug was triggered before, I had used the app first that day.
Ok, so I have been working with another user on what I thought was an unrelated bug, but I now think they are the same bugs, just manifested differently. Let's put a pin on this thread, and I will continue to work with them (I am logging a lot of stuff on their specific account in order to track down this issue).
