I have a vocabulary schedule where I study words from the lyrics of songs by ヨルシカ so that I can read along to the lyrics while I am listening. The problem is that a lot of words that renshuu says are most commonly written in kana are written in kanji in the lyrics. For example in 雨とカプチーノ, 揺蕩う is written in kanji but on renshuu the dictionary lists it as “たゆたう (rarely written as: 揺蕩う)” and I can only study the kana → meaning vector when I want to study the kanji → kana and kanji → meaning vectors. Is there anyway to solve this?
Currently the only way to achieve this is to enable studying rare kanji forms globally, which is severely overkill (you'll get words like する and これ and stuff also shown in kanji). It's the "Show kanji for words commonly written in hiragana" toggle on the Kanji section of your account settings.
Being able to enable rare kanji forms on a per-word basis is a feature that is planned, but probably won't be able to be implemented for some time. If you really, really need to study the kanji in the meantime, you can make a new list and add the kanji spelling as a custom word; however, the custom word will not share any study data with the real one, and will not have example sentences.
