I keep missing weekly quests because "weekly" for me means Monday morning through Sunday night. Yes, I am not the sharpest knife in the box as we say here in one of the Monday-centric societies 🤭 It also seems that the quests are reset for me on Sunday morning rather than at the end of the day, which feels counterintuitive.
There might be multiple options on how to tackle this, however, it also depends on how the scheduling is set up. If the schedules are reset simultaneously for everyone, then timezones also come into play, and it gets tough to solve without much work, which we want to avoid, since this issue is quite nonsensical, if I'm completely honest.
To keep it as simple as possible, I want to suggest:
embolden "Today" and "This week" if there are outstanding quests;
instead of displaying the number of days until the next quest reset, show both days and hours until the reset, as that removes the ambiguity what does "each Sunday" mean specifically;
change where the reset info is displayed: right now, you need to open "This week" to see the weekly quests and the remaining timer. Maybe it could be OK to move both the daily and the weekly reset timers to the top of the "Kao Garden" widget, so they are always visible at a glance. Kinda like "Time remaining to complete the quests: daily - 4 hours, weekly - 4 days 3 hours".
I fully understand that this request might take an honorable spot at the bottom of the backlog if it even makes it there, but, on the other hand, this could be a nice UX tweak, so why not 🙂
And yes, I do love the dopamine spikes I get from completing the quests. Keeps me going 😅

Schedules and daily quests are reset at the time you set in your settings, so it is not the same for everyone. If you set the reset time to 3am, it will reset at that time for your timezone.
It is the same for weekly quests, they reset Saturday night (end of week for renshuu) at the time you setup as the end of day (e.g. 3am). If you set the end of day to exactly midnight, the weekly quests would reset at midnight between Saturday and Sunday in your own timezone.
It'll take a week to make sure it works, but there is now a setting just below that line of text for the weekly quests to choose Sunday or Monday. The text above it will change soon to not specifically mention the day (since it's right there).
At the moment, I do not plan on making any other changes with this, but let's see how this change works out.
It does send a request to the backend (/index.php?page=user/prefs_ajax_single&key=quest_week&value=monday), but switching between Sunday and Monday doesn’t seem to affect the remaining days for the week.
I’ll pay closer attention this weekend to figure out exactly when the quests reset, as I’m not entirely clear on how the days counter works.
Technically, it's still Monday for me because I’ve set Renshuu to change days at noon, so it should show 7 days instead since the next reset should be in a week or at least 6 days if we discount today completely.
