I know Michael doesn’t have the bandwidth to take on a big project, so this is just wish-casting, but …

I imagine an enhanced version of the text analyzer being used to upload, analyze and translate complete essays, short stories, even book chapters—advanced texts that challenge even the most experienced learners.

Ideally, this process would be collaborative: all the work would be done in public and benefit from community input. The finished translations would be community property and could then become raw material for new lessons, rules, and examples.

At least at first, it would probably be best to limit uploads to a few trusted sources like Aozora Bunko and the Sōseki Project to keep from running afoul of copyright issues and inappropriate content.

Me? Absolutely impossible. However, I think this feature here: https://new.renshuu.org/forums...

would, properly made, be the perfect way to incubate a group such as this.

Maybe. I admit I didn’t pay too much attention to the study group proposal at the time, in part because it seemed like such a nebulous concept. To me it looks like the most concrete ideas that came out of that discussion were shared lists and discussion groups. Adding shared documents to that doesn’t sound like a bad idea, in fact it seems like a natural fit.

It's intentionally meant to be somewhat nebulous, as I hope to make it loose enough so that it might be used for people focused on a jlpt level, a reading club, fans of v-tubers, studying, etc.
