Hello,
I ran across a problem while trying to modify one of my own lists. I'll go to resources -> community lists -> me, and choose the list I want to edit by hitting the pen symbol next to it. In the next menu, the list shows up like shown in the picture below.
Here is the problem: On the right side, it says "This list has 12 term(s) in it.", however only one term is shown, thus I cannot access and edit the other terms.
While this screenshot was taken on my PC, I was able to reproduce the error in the iOS-app as well, hence I conclude the error is likely system-side and not caused by my setup.
I can probably look into this in the next couple of days, but I have a suspicion as to what might be causing it. I see you're using a non-English language for your dictionary data. If you can look at the list and see some of the words that are not appearing, do they have localized definitions in them, or are they just English?
I don't know what a localized definition is. However when creating the list, I entered the terms in English, since I did not know which language should be used for creating lists. The term showing up is apparently the only term in the list with a German translation.
As soon as I switch the dictionary language to English, all the other terms show up too. I thought since the dictionary language setting says "English will be used when a non-English language is unavailable for an area of renshuu." It should not matter, however it does.
Thanks for the hint!
Thanks for the followup. It's definitely a bug - you should be able to use it in the way that you were describing. The info you gave me, though, will help me fix it! I'll report again when I have a fix.
I am sorry to report that it does not seem to be fixed for me:
When viewing the terms with dictionary language set to "German", all terms without a German translation show up, however the only term with a german translation from the example in my initial post is not showing up.
Alright, I fixed it for that specific term, but there is a somewhat more deeply rooted issue that might not have the easiest fix. At the moment, when you make custom definitions (on top of one that already exists), it assumes you are doing it in the language your dictionary is set to.
However, in your case, you have added custom definitions in both English and German (when constructing the lists). When viewing that page, though, it is a bit more limited, and can only pull in custom definitions for the current dictionary language. For まえげり, the definition was marked as English, so it didn't appear.
I am..not quite sure how to fix this yet - it may be a bug that takes a lot more work to both look into and resolve.
