I've started learning so long ago, I don't know anymore. I still suck because I've never had a good reason. I have no plans to go to Japan, and I've never had. I have no one to speak or write to in Japanese. I don't want to take 能力試験, because I am too afraid to fail (I did mock N3 though, and the score was good).
I'm planning to move there, since I'm from Europe and I wish to explore the world, especially Japan. I heard people there are very nice and polite, I wish it was also here in my country. I'm also very far away from Japan, plus I want to move as quickly as possible from my parents. I don't like it here guys. Also watching Japanese movies would be lot easier
I love how it looks and sound. I also consume a lot of Japanese media, like the culture and want to visit Japan some day. It's the only language beside English that interests me.
I am learning Japanese because of my dad who worked in Japan when I was 5. And since then I was very interested in the culture of Japan, so I started learning the language!
Many years ago I watched a Japanese lady who was running a food truck make little crochet characters when she had no customers. They were so cute, I wanted to learn to make them. I found out they are called amigurumi in Japan, and I learned how to make them from YouTube. This led me down a rabbit hole of learning about Japan- I fell in love with their art, their shrines, their anime, their food… now I want to visit Japan. So I learn some Japanese in hopes I will see Japan in person someday
