Hello everyone!
I am currently facing the following issue:
I might have taken on a bit too much - there's many decks I have to study daily.
I've been able to bring the daily review count down for most of them, but one has roughly 350 cards per day.
The issue is not so much that I get tons of the cards wrong - its simply the sheer amount of time needed.
There are very rare days where I can tackle and get done all my reviews in all decks, which of course means that (mostly its this one) the cards keep piling up, and the fight is hard.
Does anyone have a good idea how I could manage this one deck specifically? (The +350 reviews one)
The others I can tackle and finish daily, but there just barely is enough time for that one.
On Anki I would suspend most of the cards from the deck and then slowly, over the course of days or weeks, gradually un-suspend them.
This way, I would have a manageable daily load on that deck.
However, I'm not very certain how I could do this on Renshuu.
(I'm also very open to other ideas!)
Thank you in advance to anyone replying and sharing their ideas! =)
(((Also - for the time being i am not studying new cards, because i really want to bring down my daily review count on all decks, since its so many decks i m studying at the same time))))
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the reviews so much. Review what you can, and if the reviews backlog, that's fine. But also, I don't know of any specific way to reduce review terms, except by removing them from the schedule entirely.
Nevermind. Check out the question beneath this one titled "is there a way to change the amount of reviews?"
I'm not sure I would say it's fine, for srs it doesn't work very well when you don't review all your terms and of course many people don't want that to happen. (Plus in my experience most people who let their reviews build up infinitely say it's a bad idea.)
Besides setting it to have certain amounts of review and changing the pace like mentioned in the thread below, you can freeze the schedule to focus on the other ones, or you could freeze your other schedules to focus on that one. If you review it every day the terms will go down and then you can avoid having the same thing again by only adding new terms when all of your current ones are at a high enough mastery level.
I used to have too many too but I took care of it by not learning any new ones until they were at a good level again.
If I were you, I would freeze it until I had a day when I had time to take care of the reviews and then do them all and repeat until it fixes itself
If you set the pace of the schedule slower, you can be done for the day and if you want to review more you can still click on the schedule name and do an "extra review" if you feel like it that day.
Additionally, there are some options in the settings of the schedule you could use? Under advanced settings at the bottom you could change the study style so that the terms level up faster (and then will appear less often). Or you could change the mastery level spacing there which would apparently also be schedule specific, so there's more time between the reviews of single terms which would make for less reviews overall. I haven't used these so far but if you're confident you learn fast they might work.
