Thanks for adding the Tagalog translation page! Question: Google Translate and ChatGPT is not allowed but are dictionaries allowed? Am I also free to localize sentences or do I have to literally translate them (e.g. Can I say 'nagaaral ka ng mabuti' (you have been learning well) or 'masipag ka magaral' (you are studious in learning) in place of 'You have been learning a lot'? or say 'Go to X to see all the kana' instead of 'Go to X for an all-in-one look on kana'?)

It does not need to be a 1-for-1 translation: a natural translation in Tagalog is preferable.

Dictionaries are allowed, and of course, feel free to ask if you have any questions about what something means.

Not a big deal, but I would appreciate if the text within the text boxes would be a white color. My phone displays it as a black color. Not sure if everyone else sees it this way.

3. use diksyunaryo over dictionary

4. use grammatika over grammar

5. use tumugon over mag-reply

6. use nihongo over hapones or japanese or nippongo (when talking about the language)

7. use partikula over particle or katag

8. use kahulugan over depinisyon

9. use i-display over ipakita (when translating "display")

10. pahina for "literal page" such as "this is page 3 of 9, use page for more technical definitions such as "this (web)page"

Hello Maiko-san! Thank you for adding the Translation Center for the Tagalog UI! I would just like to ask if it's possible to see the preview of what part we are translating? Like we can see the UI itself in Tagalog words?

Hello, マイコー! It seems that when I click "show all strings waiting for confirmation" in a specific category, it shows other strings that need to be validated but are in a different category. Is this intended?

Can you show me an example of it (screenshot)? I think that checkbox may indeed be pulling from all categories, since it's meant to be a "here are ones you can look at and check real fast"

Thanks - I'm seeing that yes, it does pull from everything. I may change that in the future, but I'm not clear on how others use that setting, so I won't be able to make any adjustments at the moment.

Hello, マイコー!

I would like to request to change the name of our language to Filipino from Tagalog as:

1) Tagalog is a dialect of Filipino, the actual lingua franca of the entire country

2) Most apps have our language named as Filipino

3) Filipino includes English loanwords, as well as words that are used in other dialects of the Philippines, making it more diverse and inclusive.

I would also like to point out that the app loading hints do not show up in our language when the app is set in my language. All app loading hints are validated.

Thank you for your consideration.
