Is kao Chan a boy or a girl cuz yea I'm confused
Neither, at least as far as we know (Kao is a mysterious creature)
かおちゃん is a girl
I failed to notice this. マイコー said Kao isn't a boy or girl... I need an explanation
The ちゃん honorific suggests female, but besides that, the Japanese describing or depicting Kao is supremely unhelpful, since pronouns (especially gendered pronouns) describing others aren't used in Japanese nearly to the degree that they are in english
You all give us way more credit than the actual amount of thought we put into pronouns when making those comics *laughs*
Kao-chan is non-gendered because Kao-chan is a magical ball of fluff. So feel free to use whatever pronouns you'd like!
The ちゃん honorific suggests female,
I wouldn’t read too much into that. While it is true that ちゃん is generally reserved for girls, it’s not uncommon to use ちゃん for a close male friend or family member, especially if they are as cute as かおちゃん.
He is fluff?! I thought He is like a mochi or something.
I think that マイコーさん was saying that not literally but just to say that かおちゃん doesn’t have a gender because it’s not an identifiable creature
Would be cool to stroke Kao-chan.
Had to bring this up
Pretty good evidence here for Kao chan being female ( ゚□゚)
Also Kao wears a dress in that one picture
Also these two
Wow
This scares me a little
maybe kao-chan just likes wearing dresses! ^3^
