For new learners (like me) I think it would be useful an option to light the letters that are being pronounced when you activate the listening option for the question
I plan on doing a revision of the Question Corner this fall, so I'm welcoming any thoughts/ideas (big or small!)
I do have one idea I am definitely implementing, which is a way for users to submit questions alongside the official ones.
It'd be really good to add the feature of translating full sentences not only single words. I also hope you won't remove the old unanswered questions, so that people (including me) can practice by answering them.
I have an issue in this section, though. When I answer new questions, it doesn't appear on the table of daily accomplishments in the dashboard, no matter what I do.

This would be machine translation functionality (having the computer translate the full sentence), which is not something renshuu has or I have plans to add, sorry!
This thread is only for suggestions on new features/improvements. Any bugs, please report in a separate thread (otherwise I will not be able to manage and fix them without everything getting mixed up.)
Oh yeah, and can you delete duplicate questions? The "what do you watch on youtube"( or something like that) question is a question I already answered, but somehow there is a duplicate of it and it appeared in the "already written" and the "haven't written" section, so that is an example of the duplicate, maybe its just my account, but please fix that, okay? Or just don't do these kinds of things anymore and I'll be satisfied, if it actually happened. (sorry if that counts as bugs, it doesn't seem like one)The corner is great, anyways.
This'll probably come at some point - the questions are repeated once a year, and the old ones are still shown there, but it may make sense to only show the most recent year's questions.
Personally, as a newbie, I don’t really like using the section, and I hate that I have to do it to fulfill my goals for the day. In general, when you’re first learning kana and basic vocabulary, I find the questions and a lot of the games too difficult and frankly just frustrating to use. I would rather just focus on learning the kana and the basic vocab first, followed by grammar. It would be nice if there were some games that focused on learning those beginning skills. Shitori is too advanced for me, especially the kanji version. As far as the question section, I highlight the whole sentence, and then press the highlighted sentence to bring up the translate function on my iPhone. After translating the whole sentence, I often use Translate to help me answer the new sentence. But honestly, I don’t see the point, because there’s no feedback to know whether you wrote anything correctly or not.

I completely understand where you're coming from - I don't say this in a "look how great we are", but renshuu is closer to a university than a single classroom in that it aims to provide materials, tools, and activities to leaners of all levels. Some things are simply going to not be a good fit for certain subsets of users due to language level.
Just about everything in renshuu is free and we are 100% ad-free, so we're (me) not going to be able to provide tutor-level responses to everything without monetizing everything in renshuu (which I have no plans to do). I also hope to add more activities for newer learners, but it takes a ton of time as the sole developer behind renshuu.
I will keep adding things slowly, though, over time! No single feature I add will be useful for everyone, but I try to cycle between features that aim at different levels of learners.
Being able to click on kanji or text and translate without going to another page? The back in forth trying to translate and understand it while also trying to learn it is hard.. If possible to see a mini translation pop up instead of going to a separate page would be very helpful. ^^
Just a suggestion, maybe changing the chain icon back to the green star icon for if a sentence is linked to the dictionary? The chain is a little more difficult to see that the star.
It would be very nice to be able to click on the notification (when you have written an answer and someone comments) and immediately go to the reply, rather than linking to the top of the question corner and sift through all the posts.
Can you add an option to see english translations to the questions for those who want to answer in Japanese, and 1 or 2 examples of how the question can be answered in Japanese?
