After you view the last notification, this should just disappear instead of displaying 0. I've just dealt with it for a long time.
I've had the hardest time replicating this issue (although it should be really easy to do so). I made a few changes, but if you can still repeat it (perhaps by marking a message as unread, then viewing it again), please give me the set of steps that you take.

It is back. Marking unread can reproduce it.
I cannot replicate it here, so can you provide a full set of steps? Also, a screenshot of the before/intermediate states would be great. Thanks!
