Hello. I read about the Michinoku Coastal Trail. I would like to hike it, but I understand it goes through some rural areas without many people, and without many English speakers or signs. Therefore I started learning Japanese to be able to enjoy the trail on my own. However, I wonder if anyone else knows about that trail or has been there?
My partner and I will be hiking parts of the trail for a week in October this year! We're excited and nervous. But we've been learning Japanese for a couple of years now and my partner likes learning and has gotten rather good (i mean, not proper fluent or anything, but we won't have problems getting around).
We will be keeping a blog on our journey (not only michinoku coastal trail). It will be in German but I'm considering making it bilingual anyway, so maybe if you are interested I can give you the URL once we've set it up : )
