I really enjoyed Ado's beginning phase, which was more rock and swing (Readymade, Freedom, いばら, Fleeting Lullaby). I also like OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM (Pretender, Cry Baby and many others), Linked Horizon ('Shinzo wo Sasageyo!' full version) and SEKAI NO OWARI (Habit). BABYMETAL gives me a lot of energy in the mornings (White Flame, Gimme Chocolate, Headbanger).
I'm also a big fan of jazz, so of course Hiromi is a must (Blackbird, Pachelbel's Canon, Desire). She plays with so much enthusiasm, it's a delight to watch! Lamp is a bit more pop (Last Train At 25 o'clock, Raindrop City, ...). And Tia more anime ('Deal with the devil' full version).
Being an anime fan also made me find peace in YOASOBI, LISA, Kenshi Yonezu (Sayonara, Every Day, LADY, Iris Out, KICK BACK), Creepy Nuts (Mirage, Bling-Bang-Bang-Born), SEATBELTS (Tank!, Rush) and Joe Hisaishi.
I also like to occasionally listen to kpop and sometimes they do extra albums or singles in Japanese (Hollow - Stray Kids, どうしよつかな - i-dle, Airplane Pt. 2 'japanese Ver.' - BTS, ...).
Fun songs to listen to: Huton no naka kara detakunai (GOKUMON - kid metal song), Stay with me (Miki Matsubara - a timeless classic), OTONABLUE (ATARASHII GAKKO!), かむかもしかもにどもかも!(MONO NO AWARE - tongue twistersss), Night Dancer (imase), Obenkyou Shitoiteyo (ZUTOMAYO - the bass is going crazy),...
I feel like I still missed a lot, but if you're curious and have time I would recommend you to check https://everynoise.com/ under the various Japanese genres (j-pop, j-rap, j-hip hop, kawaii metal, ...). It gives you an amazing overview and makes you discover plenty of lesser (internationally) known artists!
