I mean, sure, "if you don't want to cheat, don't hit the button" but isn't it better to remove the temptation altogether?
I don't think the option was ever there before I upgraded to pro and I liked it that way. I suspect it's not an intentional feature. If there's some setting I'm missing that controls this, my apologies, but then I feel like out should be turned off by default for kana quizzes.
Are you referring to the "I don't know" button? If so, everyone has that button irrespective of their subscription status. I agree it would be nice to toggle the button off for specific quizzes (not overall, since it is useful in word quizzes with new terms.)
I just noticed that, and that makes a lot of sense that you would find it unnecessary. Strangely enough, I didn't see the speaker icon in my own kana quiz, but I'm going to test it and update it if I see the sound button.
Edit: I don't see the sound icon in my quiz. Did you accidentally toggle a quiz setting on for the multiple choice?
I don't think it's normal, so your quiz may be bugged
